Version 2026-10-16-v2 (draft)
Draft for review. Written in plain language and not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It will be reviewed before public launch.
What we collect
- Your email address, for the waitlist and for your account. You can sign up with an email alias (for example from a private-email-forwarding service) as long as you can receive mail there.
- Account details you choose to add: your nickname, experience level and main goal, and whether you want occasional update emails (off unless you turn it on; you can turn it off any time in Account). Your nickname is your name on the site: it is how we greet you and what other members see when community features are available. Please use only a first name or nickname.
- That you accepted these terms, which version, and when.
- Which Codex entries you have opened, so we can show your progress.
- Cycle information you choose to enter: cycle names, goals, dates, the compounds you list, and any amounts, frequencies and notes you type. This can be sensitive health information. It is visible only to your account and is not shared with other users unless you choose to publish a copy (see below).
- Workout logs you record: the date, sets, weights, reps, run times and distances, and your session notes. They are visible only to your account. When you log without a signal, the workout is kept on your phone (in your browser's storage) until it uploads, along with a copy of your plan and recent workouts so the app works offline. Signing out of the app does not erase a workout that has not uploaded yet, so let it upload first.
- Training plans generated for your cycles, the changes you make to them, your day-by-day notes, and whether you published a plan to your Home page.
- Baseline and end-of-cycle check-ins you choose to enter: body weight, body fat, lift maxes, run times, your goal, and notes about how you feel, how training feels and any side effects. This can be sensitive health information. It is visible only to your account and is not shared with other users unless you choose to publish a copy (see below).
- Anything you choose to publish in the community, such as a cycle snapshot with the amounts and notes you include, and feedback you post on other members' snapshots. Articles you write as a verified author: drafts and editor notes are visible only to you and the editors; once approved, the article is visible to signed-in members with your nickname. Codex submissions you make as a researcher: drafts and editor notes are visible only to you and the Codex editor; once approved, the content is published in the Codex without your name. Reports you file are seen only by moderators; the person you report is not told who reported them.
- Notifications we create for you, such as when someone replies to your snapshot. Only you can see them. Published content is visible to other signed-in members, together with your nickname, until you delete it. Think carefully before including details you would not want others to see.
