Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-16-v2 (draft)
Draft for review. These terms are written in plain language and have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They will be reviewed before public launch.
1. Who can use this site
You must be 18 or older. By creating an account you confirm that you are.
2. Educational information only
Everything on The Compound Athlete, including the Codex, is for general education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a recommendation to use any substance. Some entries describe prescription drugs, controlled substances, or unapproved research compounds. Describing something is not encouraging it.
3. Talk to a professional
Talk to a licensed clinician before changing your medication, supplements, training, or diet. Never delay or skip medical care because of something you read here. If you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
4. Know your local law
Legal status differs by country and can change. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you, including sport anti-doping rules if you compete.
5. No guarantees
We work to keep information accurate and cite sources, but science changes and mistakes happen. Content is provided as is, without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, The Compound Athlete is not liable for decisions you make based on the content.
6. Your account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
7. Community posting
Community features are coming. These rules apply once they are available.
- Your nickname. Use only your first name or a nickname. Do not use your full name, email address, phone number or other contact details, and do not impersonate anyone. Names that suggest you work for The Compound Athlete are reserved.
- What you post is visible. Anything you choose to publish, such as a cycle snapshot with the amounts and notes you include, can be seen by other signed-in members until you delete it. Your private cycles and check-ins stay private unless you publish a copy.
- Personal reports, not advice. Amounts and results that members post are one person's own report. We do not verify them and they are not recommendations. Do not treat another member's post as advice, and do not tell others what they should take.
- Not allowed: where to buy or how to source anything, selling or trading, medical advice presented as fact, harassment or hate, content involving anyone under 18, other people's private information, and anything illegal.
- Moderation. You can report any post. We may hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
- Articles. Verified authors can write articles. Editors review every article before it is published and may edit it, send it back for changes, decline it, or unpublish it later. Amounts in an article are the author's own experience, not a recommendation.
- Codex contributions. Approved researchers can propose new Compound Codex entries and edits. Every submission is reviewed before it is published and may be edited, sent back or declined. Codex content must be educational and dose-free: no amounts, dosing schedules or protocols, and every claim must be supported by cited sources. By submitting, you let us publish, edit and keep your contribution in the Codex.
- Your content. You keep ownership of what you post and you give us permission to display it on the site while it is up. You are responsible for it.
8. Our content
The Codex text and design belong to The Compound Athlete. You may read it for personal use. Please do not copy or resell it.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. When we make a significant change we will ask you to accept the new version.
